Apparently the Motion that we filed in Court got the State’s attention. All of a sudden the State sent us proposed Judgments for almost 600 Plaintiffs. After some candid discussions with the Assistant Attorney General, I sent him some deadlines for the remainder of the case and a promise that I would again go to Court if they are not met. Given the flurry of progress, I withdrew the Motion.
Meanwhile more judgments have been sent to the Court, and over two hundred checks recently arrived.
It is our goal to finish this phase of the lawsuit within 60 days. However, please remember that the case is again on appeal over interest between the first and second judgments. That amount for each of you is roughly what you were paid the first time. The State recently got a second time extension for filing their brief over my objection. The appeals can take years, so please keep us informed of any address changes
